Motherboards with Nvidia 7050PV chipsets can be used with Ultimate, with some minor tweaking of the xorg.conf
Installing the ISO disk will install X server with a default of "nvidia" or "nv" upon recognizing your graphics chipset as Nvidia, however, this will cause a very ugly screen to pop up! Saying something like, "X server is not set up correctly or is not found, please install X" bla-bla-bla. What must be done is to change the xorg.conf file. You can type: "sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg" (with no quotation marks) and go in to pretty decent GUI configuration tool (no mouse) and when it asks you if you want it to detect graphics say no and pick "vesa" from the list. continue on through the setup, usually just picking the default selections made by the program will get you through ok. Click Ok to save to xorg.conf file, and restart X by either typing in the command prompt: shutdown -r now (which reboots machine) or by typing: startx or startX (can't remember if it was uppercase X or lower case x)
---Obviously--- I'm a 'noob' trying to help out another 'noob' serching on google about this problem or asking somebody else in this forum with more knoledge on the subject is the best choice! But maybe atleast this will give you the heads up!
EDIT: 1.6 users - just use "boot in safe graphics mode" form the DVD install screen and it will get you going
