Wireless Issues with new laptop

Postby cqchat » Thu Apr 04, 2013 6:25 pm

Hi Guys!

Firstly would like to say that i was blown away with the first look and trial of the Black Opal Distro and it certainly put a smile on my face with the wobbly windows!
However, on a more serious note, i have found a big issue with the wireless connection with the distro and my laptop of choice for testing this os with.
Wireless connection is intermittent at the best of times with Black Opal for me and there seems to be almost no "bars" of signal most of the time when i am connected to the net.
I do get alot of hang at work with it and it will drop connection regulaly with reconnection being problematic. same is also true when i try and "tether" to my android phone for internet.. it will connect but then drop and thats it.. it will refuse to reconnect till i reboot distro.

could i have some help with some debug on this please as i am currently reviewing Black Opal for a write up for my local LUG group (doing a talk on Black Opal) and want to be able to say without a doubt songs of praise regarding help and support etc etc, plus get my laptop working correctly on wireless!!!!

Cheers
