authentication failure

I'm using Ubuntu 10.04. I downloaded Ultimate Edition 2.7 and booted from a pen drive. While booting, it hangs on the splash screen. When I selected the safe graphics mode, it showed an error 'Authentication failure'.
Can anyone help me out.

Thanks in advance

Hello vijayvenkatesan.

your issue is because of the kernel level of Ubuntu and Ultimate Edition
you have to understand that the lowest kernel have to be first.
Now you have working Ubuntu system that was update/upgrade on the kernel issue,
You need to install first the U.E then you can install Ubuntu.
U.E can not be install before the Ubuntu because U.E's kernel is the lowest one.

thanks for your time amir. But i have a doubt. What you said is okay if i'm trying to install Ultimate Edition. But, here, i'm just trying to run it as a live disk.

vijayvenkatesan,

Please install mount manager +usb mount on the Ubuntu system,
and add permission to your user on the Groups.
