Hello PPLTo Enable your Desktop Effects :Open Ubuntu Tweak =>Compiz Settings=>and mark the Install Simple Desktop Effects Setting Manager. After you have marked the box,
Ubuntu Tweak will Download the settings & get it to work for you.
You can close the Ubuntu Tweak.
hold your wheel push and move your mouse and have fun.

Sorry to be a bother,really new to linux,my first install is Ultimate 2.7,just a small issue..ok,i have 4 different wallpapers though compiz fusion's wallpaper option,with show desktop turned off,when i boot the system everything loads,and the type to search icon pops up and stay there can't exit it,it overlaps anything i put up,well i wanted to know if i could disable that search feature.....Thank You To The Hold Team For All Your Hard Work.

i spoke to soon,i did what you said,rebooted my pc,and now i can't log back into the desktop,it goes as far as the logon screen ,when i click my name for the password,everything disappears,and i get 3 errors,then it idles.....

Hi khadafeeee,
Sorry to hear you're having problems. I don't think the error has to do with those changes, I don't see how it could.
Did you change anything else that may help us sort it out ?
Did you clear any other startup items that you may have thought weren't needed ?
What do the errors say ?
Have you tried selecting Recovery mode at the grub menu ? It may provide useful info. as to what the issue is if it hangs at some point and gives error information.

The three errors were
could not update ICEauthority ,file/home/username/.ICEauthority
There is a problem with the configuration server. (/usr/lib/libgconf 2-4/gconf-sanity-check-2 exited with status 256)
The last one was........
Nautilus could not create the following required folders:/home/username/desktop,/home/username/.nautilus
before running Nautilus,please create these folders or set permission such that Nautilus can create them
Then it hangs at the logo screen...........
