I have been 'puting for over 20 years, started with the Commodore PET 2001, got online real early, with a 300 baud modem, went from Commodore to Mac. My first Mac was a MacII 16mhz, 40MB HD 1MB RAM, we upgraded it to 2 MB for $1000(!) After we got serious with cad, I moved to windows 2K and found a home, not a happy one, but a home. When I set up a new home machine, my boss suggested that I look at Freespire, and I got the linux bug. When Freespire imploded, I moved to Klikit (and still like it) but was never satisfied, especially since it froze at Ubuntu 8.04. Looked at a bunch of other distros, and found Ultimate Edition. Ultimate Edition is the best thing I have found. I have Win 7 on my desktop, and that's a polished OS, but Ultimate Edition is the most complete, and whenever I have a need for an app it's there. Thanks to TheeMann and all the other gurus!
