help ... virtualbox error "VirtualBox can't operate in VMX root mode. Please disable the KVM kernel extension, recompile your kernel and reboot (VERR_VMX_IN_VMX_ROOT_MODE)"

it look like to have upgrade your kernel up.
so you have to roll back your kernel for working with the VB.

Code: Select all: $ sudo dpkg -r linux-headers-2.6.30-02063003 linux-headers-2.6.30-02063003-generic linux-image-2.6.30-02063003-generic
