With the CYA out of the way, here is how to free up as much memory as possible by dumping the cache. Execute as root, or with sudo:

# echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches

That link for sure can do the job with the cat. <BREW> :D ;)
That Take me to 89,I use to live back then in the U.S/w88 in Manhattan (near the park).
And there was A bar just across the street,There was that kind of Singer that cold kill you
(not just the cat) when see start to sing that was the Time to hit the Highway to Mexico :D ;)
