Hi nnarules,
Unsure if you can - have read posts where people have tried this using Wine - and had issues. Have you tried an alternative like Pidgin?

Cheers.

You are correct at the minute Hawks, though voice and cam infrastructure is in place as of latest release, and the implementation is imminent..(famous last words. ) ;)

EDIT: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=7837245 Interesting read. ;)

Cheers.

nnarules

well sorry I haven't look on that post.
but I use all the time that from the Gmail.
just right click on your friend mail, then send him ask for chat.
next time that your friend will log in to his mail he will see your invitation for chat.
change your status to on line, and ask him to do the same.
then he can post you mail when he is in the mail and you can stand on his name,
you will see the chat option, click on it,pop up window will come with chat start.
