P.S. Might be worthwhile to run the memory test option from the boot DVD menu for a few hours to make sure its not your Ram.
Good idea
My lap top has recently slowed down, and performs like xp did on it.I couldn't for the life of me figure it out for a bit. Then I started conky up and it only showed 256 megs of ram....I had a damn stick of memory go goofy on me.
This is the second time I've had memory go bad on me.(different machines)
