Take a picture of your partitions using ksnapshot and post it back here.
It is called partition manager(it is actually GParted).
You can shrink or grow your partitions using gparted but because it is locked when you boot up you will have to use the live disc and make sure your partitions are not mounted.
I don't use a swap partition or hibernation(I go for speed not comfort).

I think I'm gonna have problems anyway though. Just tried suspend, which worked but when i turn it on again all i get is a blank screen... this has happened from hibernate with previous Ultimate Edition's as well. I've changed the settings in power management, so i don't think it's that. might have to give up on hibernate and opt for speed as well!

You can use the extended partition as part of the swap. Just put the live disc and get rid of the extended partition(unless you are using it for something) or shrink it using Partition Manager. I don't know how much swap you need for hibernation so try increasing it by a gig and see if that works. If not, you can shrink your other partition and make a new swap. It may not fix your problem because it looks like there is a bug of some kind related to hibernation with intrepid. That's the best I can do for you right now. Maybe somebody will pipe in that has a better fix.
