Help & support for Ultimate Edition 2.0

upgrade icon error

Postby ima » Wed Nov 12, 2008 9:51 pm

Usually I install and then upgrade and then use envy and I'm all set. With 2.0 clicking the upgrade button I get:

This script can only be ran on Feisty based distros.

so what is the proper procedure after install?

TheeMahn Explains this on the main 2.0 page, the same page as the download links.

Sorry to seem so thick, I've read those pages before I posted and have now reread it since you pointed it out and yet I still don't know what the problem is. It is either the repos are still not updated, That ultamatix replaced it or some other reason I don't know.

Anyway I used ultamatix to install some things, is there anything I'll be missing?

It's the Ultimate Edition repo.
There are a few problem packages that keep the Upgrade icon from working.
Not to worry, the Update manager still works fine.

As for Ultamatix, it seems to be working fine for me.
If you notice any issues, start a new thread and we will help you get it fixed.
