wireless and ethernet problems

Postby ranblv » Tue Nov 11, 2008 3:53 am

I use A macbook 2.4 with broadcom 43XX wireless which worked great with ubuntu 8.04
but it does not work now.
and on my dell d630 my eth0 inteface keeps going back to DHCP each boot, I change and save and it works until the next boot.

Any ideas?

Are you using 32bit or 64bit?
The wireless drivers for 64bit aren't as developed as the 32bit versions, so you may have better luck running Ultimate Edition 2.0 32bit until the driver issue is fixed.

Yes 2.0 is now available in 32bit and 32bit Gamers Edition

Thanks for the suggestion, the same seems to happen with the 32 bit, it seems the network manager does not recognize anything that was installed with ndiswrapper.
