i have just upgraded to 2.0 and i like it, however, it appears that i can not install the hardware drivers so that compiz will work. :? as a result no effects now work??! i have also noticed that some of the animations have been removed, this is sad as some were a selling point for friends who have since switched to ubuntu from ms. what can i do to reinstall the drives and get compiz to work again?? thanks

Are you sure the drivers are not installed? I wouldnt guess just because compiz isn't right your drivers are not in, I have to manually hit reload windows manager in fusionicon every time I start up 2.0. I have no idea why yet but it isn't a showstopper. Once I do that i get the "flash" and I'm golden.

You know, this is more of a question/answer???But I've never had problems with compiz...and this worked flawlessly with my 2.0 install also...my steps for install are as follows: install, do updates, load drivers(This case activate) reboot, open "Fusion Icon" and add to panel, select system>Preferences> Appearance>Visual effects>Extra, reboot...from this point on I always have Compiz??? is this wrong?? I've never had to do anything else to get it to work...is this because adding the icon to the top panel, it always launches at start-up???
