My Acer 4530 always restart before the Acer logo show

hellow guys.

1. I install win xp. --> normal
2. I install Ultimate 1.8 --> normal
3. I try to install nvidia vga driver --> blank. not booting to linux, but it still normal if booting to win xp.
4. I re install the Ultimate 1.8 --> normal
5. I try to mounting my win xp drive with ntfs file system. --> error. because my win xp in hibernate session.
6. I restart my Ultimate 1.8
7. After restarting my laptop, it's show the mysterious thing.
-. my laptop always restart before the acer logo show.
-. I cant see the acer logo. I cant access the bios. just turn on for a while, and the laptop restart again.

can anyone tell me what happen with my laptop? thank you before.

OK..first welcome to Ultimate Edition...
If you are planning to run a Dual Boot or have it installed..probably have to reinstall XP again..that will fix your MBR back to original..if you have your space on the disk already alloted for 1.8..windows will leave that alone and only repair the ntfs section you have..then after that reinstall 1.8 again using the live DVD erase and make clean your 1.8 space...that is one way...
accessing the bios...keep tapping the f2 key on restart..maybe escape key will work also

hmm I think you miss understanding my problem.

how to access my bios, if the acer logo is not show up? press F2 is not possible. after I push the power button, there is nothing show. even the acer logo, command to press F2 or F12. totally blank. before I see the acer logo, the laptop is restarting. and it is happen everytime I start my laptop.

OK have you hit f8 key does that work..or starting with a XP recovery disc inserted on start up? Or even the live 1.8 DVD inserted..another try is hooking up another monitor..see if that will get you to a Bios menu...
