Mplayer package, how is it built for Ultimate?

Help & support for Ultimate Edition 1.8

I've written a script that does all of the stuff I mentioned in my previous post including pretty much everything in my tutorial, however, my tutorial vanished after I'm guess I edited it too many times. Anyone know where it went? I would like to attach the debian package that i've built, and post the script for users to try out.

I looked for it but coudln't find it in there. I also used the "View your posts" found at the top of each page and didn't have any luck there either.

On a different note, I'm curious about getting the source package for the mplayer that's found on http://repoubuntusoftware.info.

I tried to add in that same repo as a "source" repo but it didn't work:
Code: Select all
Failed to fetch http://repoubuntusoftware.info/dists/harty/all/source/Sources.gz  404 Not Found.

Which wouldn't surprise me if it's not set up to be a source repo. I'm just looking to build off of the latest available package instead of trying to beat the rest to the top. If someone could just get it to me in any form I would be happy with that.

Maxim
I went looking for your post myself and it was sitting there waiting approval for the how to section. I assume since it was moved over it was ok so I approved it. I only mention that because I hate to step on anyones toes that section belongs to ironmahn I think.

I attached a copy of your request to TheeMahn. He is very busy building and testing Ultimate Edition 2.0 right now, so it might be a little while before he even reads his PM's

EDIT: I can tell you that there is nothing done in the Ultimate Edition version that you couldn't attain from the original source for Mplayer. Have you had a look around HERE for what your looking for? It might not be the right spot, but you'll get what you need from someone there.

Hmm, I'm not sure what i'm looking at that link.

I wanted to just build off of the source that is used on the ultimate repo so that the result is the same player with just one change. It'll have less impact that way. Instead of having a player that's completely different, and essentially voiding all of the work that TheeMan has put into preparing it.

What I'm saying is that TheeMahn hasn't done anything too it. You are making things more difficult than they have to be. The Mplayer is nothing but a stock Mplayer that has been added to the distro/repo. Am I confused? It sounds like you prob. know more about it than I do, but I know his building process and am familiar with all his injection techniques. What are you looking for exactly? You could rebuild from the source and then ask to have it added to the repository - is that what your shooting for?
