CD?DVD Rom, HD [SOLVED]

Here is a question I have been unable to figure out, even using google. Under my CD?DVD rom properites it says

Type: Unknown type
Size: Unknown
Location: Computer:///
Vomume: Unknown
Assessed: Unknown
Modified: Unknown

How to you get they system to recognize what these are? Reason why I ask, is becausse when I get done burning a dvd or cd the program I use can never eject the disk automatically, I have to do it manually.. Also I have another 80G HG that the system won't show or recognize.. Funnny I had EU3.4 installed on it before, plus under 3.4 it would not recognize my 150gb hd that 3.3 is currently on..

Yes I'm still a noob, and I truly enjoy using this OS. I have siad it before, and will say it again.. I have tried god only knows how many other linux distros.. This by far is the best I have every used.. It is so good, I now only use this, since I did away with my Win7 Os.. Thanks to TeeMahn and his team, keep up the good work..

Ok went into system monitor, file file system tab and the only thing it shows is the hd that UE3.3 is currently on.. It does not show anything else.. Also went to Edit>properties and check show all file systems. It show all kinds of stuff, but not the other drive....
