You would be better off installing a new copy of Ultimate Edition. Ultimate Edition 3.5 will be 3 years old this spring. How do I remember that? 2nd Ultimate Edition OS I used and did I love it. So much that it got me more enthralled with the workings of a Ubuntu System and ready to start building my own. I will never be as great as TheeMahn, but he is an impossible act to follow anyway. Believe me, replacing kernels and headers for an OS that old is just looking for continued issues. I would just take it as Vmware's way of telling you to get the new Ultimate Edition and then you can enjoy the benefits. Believe me will be better off. Vbox works trashy these days. Gnome-boxes is real lame and slow, does what it wants. Vmware they know what they are doing. Be best to just switch the OS out and then you can enjoy a great OS with a great virtual program. Believe me the alternative sucks. Trying to update an entire OS, not fun and most times just gets destroyed. I have yet to get one 100% successful. One time I came in at 95%, but boy was that still a nightmare. I am just trying to save you from uncounted numbers of nightmares. I just hope you understand that and do not hate me for what I have said.
