go to page http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

select the tar.gz for Linux (the deb file don't work)

agree

open the file

then tell it to extract to
/home/<username>/.mozilla/addons (<username> is your user name)(also note the dot in front of the mozilla)
flash player should work from there

Hello DaringSoule.

Well the answer here is just a partial benefit of users.
Should see the whole picture when giving the answer on flash player,
so 32 bit and 64 bit will get the solution as well.

Now First the way is to install the Flash player from Ubuntu Tweak - 3 party - add the source by make the source,
then Refresh and this will install the Flash player for you.

The second option is your option from the site.
This alone will not solve all the issues on the net for the user with 32 bit / 64 bit.
There are more plug in that have to be install from synaptic to get things done right,
To cover the Browser to play all the flash option that the user will need along the way.

So to get it done for 32 bit as well here are the plug in that has to be install on the machine in synaptic.

so now the 32 bit will have all the support in flash player on the net/on the machine.
Thank you for this post.

How do you add sources I don't have any at the moment?

Sure you do. You can add some sources using Ubuntu Tweak and if you want to see what you have now you can open a terminal
Applications > Accessories > Terminal
and run
Code: Select all
cat /etc/apt/sources.list

and it will show you what you have you can scroll the list with your arrow key or mouse.
Those with # signs at the beginning of the line are commented out and those without a # sign at the beginning of the line are in use.

You can add PPA's and other sources but unless you need something in particular you can't get another way there's no need to. If you do need an app. that's not in the repos. let us know and we can tell you how to get it or if there is a better alternative to it.

Hello Jeahavee.

Did you have install the NEW package from Ubuntu Tweak?
Go to there site:
http://ubuntu-tweak.com/

Download and Install the NEW package on your machine.
Then you will see all the Applications there - (Just stop your Firewall when you Synchronizes Ubuntu Tweak).
After that you will see the Flash there to install.
