GDM

Help & support for Ultimate Edition 1.7

GDM

Postby ehabreda » Wed Mar 05, 2008 9:44 am

Hey every body
I've install KDE4 and at the end of installation it asks for replacing GDM with KDM and i said OK for that.
After sometimes I decided to get rid of KDE so I lost my GDM and KDM and i had to login within text...
How can I get back my lovely GDM again???
Thank you for your effort.

I'm sorry for your confusion/ misunderstanding of what pch.shot was trying to tell you. There just so happens to be 2 different versions of 1.7! I know, confusing right!? There is 1.7 with Gnome only and there is a 1.7 with Gnome and KDE preinstalled. I think he was assuming that you had the Gnome only version and thats why you were trying to install the KDE on top of it. Is this correct?

Please let this be of no offense, but TheeMahn is creating and has been now for a while 1.8 and playing with KDE 4.0 also I beleive, If you can hang tight, 1.8 should be the stuff dreams are made of! I don't know how his versioning will go from this point forward, He kinda broke the mold with his 1.7 release with Gnome only version (Thank you TheeMahn), but typically he'll do a Gnome only version with the first release of a new Ububntu build, Then move on to Gnome + KDE + others. His next release will be with Hardy Heron :D
