You can use my script or search for others on the net. You need to put the file in your home folder, and then put a period in front of it like so(from conkyrc.txt to .conkyrc). You can add the conky.sh script to your start up session so that the conky scripts starts delayed so that it is not being interfered with by compiz. If conky is not delayed when starting up then it will not load correctly.
