hello to all
been experienceing some problems with comcast.taking a long time to connect ??
but downloading is fast!! havin't been checing speeds but this pic should tell it all.

can't believe this speed test ,checked several & all about the same.
checked from machine to router,1-2ms. thats ok.
so what might be the problem & how can i confront my isp about this.In laymens terms,
prove it to them!!
any help please??

If this seems to be FireFox related, it may be IPV6 related.
You might want to read How to speed up FireFox in 3 easy steps, As this may fix it.

ok I've changed the upload,hopefully that helps.as for firefox , did the ivp6 change.help a little
but it stalls for about 30 sec's before loading.i also use opera and it does the same.thats why i dont think
its my end, I also know that I'm at the end of a verry long line.comming out of michigan to get to a small corner doesent help!!but the hesataion sucks!! :oops: :evil:

Since Comcast runs their users in a loop, if you are at the end, and the traffic on your loop is high,
This sort of thing happens. A call to your ISP might be your next step.

1100kb down, downed 1.8 in a half hour & will seed for a cpuple days.
but when i try to connect it lags horrible! going to bitch like was suggested & see what happins?

im willing to bet it has something to do with that "sandive" crap comcast has implemented.

is all of your net slow or just seeding?

i dont know the exact particulars of sandive. but basically if it detects a traffic protacol it doesnt like it sends (injects) reset packets. which in turn kills the connection that was made. this is rumored to only be on the upstream side though i cant verify.
