Ultimate Edition Forum

Hello, I have tried to boot Ultimate Edition from a flash drive on my Desktop. The computer has a ASUS P8P67 EVO motherboard; A NVIDIA 650Ti graphics card; 16GB of DDR3 RAM; i7-2600; 1X 160GB SSD; 1X 2TB HDD; 2X 500GB HDD and 1X 160GB HDD. I want to install the OS on a partition from the 160GB HDD but when I boot from the USB all that comes up is Minimal Bash-like line editing is supported. For the first... Etc. Please Help

I don't think it's that, because I tried to boot Ultimate Edition with no HDD or SSD installed and it still came up with the problem... And I don't have any Linux OS installed only windows 8 64bit Proffetional.

Are you using Ultimate Edition 1.5?
If you are, it wont work well with your new hardware..
Download and install Ultimate Edition 3.4 Lite or Ultimate Edition 3.5..
Ultimate Edition 3.5 has all packages you can imagine..
Ultimate Edition 3.4 Lite wont budge when thunder strikes, stable to the core, you might need to install packages if they are not there.
Both are new, though Ultimate Edition 3.4 lite has newer packages..
Use x64 bit...
I guarantee you, either one, will work like a champ on your system
to install drivers, see the how-to section of forum..

Sorry i meant to say im trying to install 3.5 not 1.5...

Do you have UEFI on your board?

nicholas1230, please give more info on the error, whether you are getting a root shell or grub prompt..

Yes i have a UEFI Motherboard and the only error thats shows up is when i type boot and it says no kernel loaded...
EDIT: I am trying to re-download 3.5 just to make sure the iso was not corrupt.

I acually have a corrupt version, i redownloaded it and it worked just fine.. Thanks for you help anyway
