try this solution:

sudo apt-get install linux-backports-modules-intrepid-generic


Deactivate the standard Atheros driver and activate the new one in the hardware section.

Deactivate the standard Atheros driver and activate the new one in the hardware section.

First restart your computer.
Then => System => Manage =>hardware drivers.
make the activation to the card.

so did you gut the download done ?
and look in synaptic and see if your linux-restricted-modules-common install,
and look if the-ubuntu-restricted-extras- is install.
