You can use Samba to share files and printers with Linux and Windows relatively easy. Sharing files with Linux is frankly a pain in the ass. It makes no sense but that's the way it is. Linux has always bent over backwards to accomodate Windows at the sacrfice of hurting itself. Hopefully that is all changing now that people are starting to realize that Windows is the past and Linux is the future. Give it 5 years and Windows will be out of business unless they totally re-think their policies. As mighty as Rome was, it fell. If you need a hand setting up samba I think I remember how.
