Is anyone here running a DVD burner with LightScribe technology? And have you been successful in burning logos, labels, etc. to them???

Yes, but not on my PC. I know someone who has a LightScribe burner and doesn't seem to mind getting bent over and violently ass raped (without benefit of lubrication), price-wise, for the required media.

The final LightScribe product is pretty cool but it does take a few days for the swelling to go down.
I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome I am...

If it's not broken, you haven't tweaked it enough.

I've been married and divorced twice!! So as far as the price goes, I never even feel it, thanks to their respective Lawyers!!!

Only curiosity on my part, as I have a samsung burner with capabilities and just decided to download software for it (had it for 2 years and haven't used it) When you get to the LightScribe site, it does show a version of the soft ware for LINUX...surprising, just wondering if anyone had used it...

I have two Lightscibe burners and frankly I don't see the point. The discs are way over-priced. You'd be just as well to go out and get a nice labeling kit and make your own labels. I did one using Nero and it works fine for what it is. Thr other discs are sitting in the box collecting dust. Just a word of advice. If you are planning on doing it, take your time and get the first one right. It's gets really expensive if you are just winging it. pch

Yeah, I got one to...used it to get thru the box of LS disks I bought and haven't used LS since...with the HP SuperMulti?? drive, you have to burn it at least 3 times to see the label the best you can (which I don't think is to good at all since I had to hold it under a light to see it). Burnt the next one 5 times, no better. 3 times took long enough, 5 times I coulda had a window framed into an existing wall quicker!!! A label maker and a box of disk labels is definitely the better (and way cheaper) route...
