Postby genexxa27 » Tue Jul 15, 2008 6:49 pm

Hi there another newbie here,
I have been trying to set my X server to separate my screens but the Nvidia X server setting manager wont let me save to the config file just gives me a unable to create new X config backup file and when i try to apply changes it tells me to restart X. I guess my Question is How do i go about restarting X so i can get my other screen to work. Thank you.

Howdy gene & Welcome to Ultimate Edition ! 8-) Easy one ;) Open a Terminal, type gksudo nvidia-settings (gksudo should work for ya, if it don't then use sudo). This will open the nVidia X Server GUI and you can save your settings that way... :) 8-)

Thanks from me as well. I know the sudo command, but not necessarily the command-line name of many utilities.
