Open a Terminal
- Code: Select all
sudo passwd
Create a Unix Password
Logout
log in as
Username=root
Password=(whatever password you gave)
This is also useful for moving Root files from usr/share/backgrounds, usr/share/wallpapers, usr/share/icons, usr/share/theme..etc... on to a drive
For Example
Let's assume you have created a root account on 3.5
Open a Terminal
- Code: Select all
su
Now open a File Manager at root
- Code: Select all
dolphin
or
- Code: Select all
nautilus
There are a couple others..anywho..
Now that you have a root file manager opened on disc, you can transfer root files to another drive
This comes in handy if you are running a lite version of Ultimate Edition, although I think 3.4 lite includes everything. Or if you just primarily use Ultimate Edition but experiment with other OS, and want the theming.
