Help & support for Ultimate Edition 3.2

solid state drive

Postby Sabberos » Fri Mar 16, 2012 10:16 pm

I need some help. I have an OCZ SSD drive, 120 gb. I am currently running windows 7 because it seems much easier to set up the drive. I REALLY want to go back to Ultimate Edition, especially to this new version. Could someone please give me some advise or step-by-step guide on what I need to do for and after installation to the SSD in order to optimize it? There are many guides out there, but are kind of confusing, and I don't even know if they would apply to this version of linux. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I am still in the process of learning linux, and am getting pretty good, but this SSD thing is a bit overwhelming. Thank you!!!!

Todays SSD's really do not "require" any additional tweaking. Trim support is native to linux now as of Ultimate Edition 2.4 i believe.

This is worth a look.
