Under storage, in this section, you have the option to Auto-run programs and Auto-open files...if these are checked, do you still have to mount cd-dvd drive? And is there an alternative(such as supermount) that will automatically mount your cd-dvd?

When you insert a disc it should automount. At least it does for me. pch

You're right it does...at least after checking auto-browse or maybe because I tried another disc...I'll have to eliminate one of the options to see what made it work!
