OK that is good to know, ZTry this - it may help, it can't hurt.
open up Synaptic, go to "edit" and go down to "fix broken packages" that might help. The bigger Linux brains will be around later

OK some questions that occur, does this occur when you get a pop up from the update manager, or are you manualy updating your software? Also what kernel are you running?

Thanks a bunch. That seemed to have solved it. It was xserver file or whatever that I uninstalled using synaptic. Also I am not able to connect to the internet with KDE desktop. I see the wireless signal but its greyed out... and can't put manage it. What could be the problem?

It came back. I'll keep searching. Also I figured out the KDE internet issue. The KDE plasmoid network manager doesn't work. You have to us the gnome one in KDE. Weird I know.

Well, now it was the transmission repository that was blocking it... don't know why... the updates run okay now.

I believe transmission has some legal issues right now might be from that.
