Can anyone recommend a portable media player?

Postby jackma08 » Mon May 30, 2011 10:29 pm

I'm looking for something basically to replace my portable dvd player. It didn't last very long and on long trip it was too big and bulky. And then I had to change dvds all the time. I am looking for something digital. At least 4GB with high capacity external memory option, I can buy an sd card, maybe an 8GB or 16GB. A 2GB is ok if it can hold a high capacity sd card. Handheld, iphone size would be ideal, or around that. Also I need something I know how to put movies and videos on. So I need it to support avi or mp4 or something easily converted from those. Touch screen or not, doesn't matter. Needs to be durable, I have kids.

depends how big you wanna go screen size you have larger items such as the dell streak 7 full android os play movies, music takes micro sd or theres the viewpad 7 that basicly the same but im sure it takes sd cards...if your after summit smaller say more fits in your pocket how about the samsung galaxy player 50 only a 3.2 touch screen but has full blown android, wifi gps ect ect 8gb or 16gb also has micro sd slot, camera even wrks with itunes as well as drag and drop....really nice and cheap at £150 8gb or £180 for 16gb does every thing from music to films and even games...better support with android due to the smaller screen more apps open than ay a larger screen
