if by gg you mean gutsy gibbon. then yes. as i understand its in the works. it will be Ultimate Edition 1.6

honestly i dont know. i do know thee mahn is currently working on it. as for an eta i have no clue. it would be purely dependent on his free time as well as any bugs that are encountered. its alot of work to build a distro. gutsy just went final today so i believe it could be a little while but i honestly dont know. like i said he works very hard to make it perfect or as close as he can get. he would probobally be able to give you more info on a possible eta though. if you are on a current Ultimate Edition release i would just hold tight. after 1.6 (Ultimate Edition gutsy) goes final you can easily upgrade via the desktop script. but that wont be possible until it goes final. i believe you will be able to go from 1.4 (if you are on this version) straight to 1.6 but im not positive.

1.5 just came out and it's another gg! i didn't realize that, i should have looked over the website better before i asked questions. another case of not rtfm. I'll play with that for a while. I appreciate all thee mahn's hard work.

actually what i meant was gusty just went final today. this is the standard release released by the ubuntu team. 1.5 ultimate did just come out recently however it is fiesty based (the last fiesty based ultimate). 1.6 is on its way. this will be the first gutsy based ultimate. sorry i shouldve explained exactly what i meant when i said gutsy just went final.

from what i understand the break down of standard and ultimate releases are like this:

7.04 (this the original fiesty release from the ubuntu team)

ultimate 1.4 (first fiesty based ultimate)
ultimate gamers 1.4 (same as above with a bunch of games added)
ultimate 1.5 (last fiesty based. same as ultimate 1.4 but with kde,xfce,enlightment window managers added)

7.10 (this is the original gutsy release from the ubuntu team. just went final today)

ultimate 1.6 (first gutsy based. not yet released)
ultimate gamers 1.6 (same as 1.6 with a bunch of games added. not yet released)
ultimate 1.7 (last gutsy based. same as ultimate 1.6 but with kde,xfce,enlightment window managers added)

Well, I'm just done downloading kubuntu gutsy, but since it's 10:30pm here, I'll be installing it fist thing in the morning... And waiting for Ultimate 1.6!!!

Thanks fellas, I have an initial build (currently untested) about 300MB of just Upgrades, haven't added a thing they must have been in a hurry to just release it, no problem I will work it all out.

Just to give you the heads-up, Gusty Gibbon has issues with Nvidia 7050PV chipsets on install as well. Have to force xorg.conf to use "vesa" before you get any X. read it here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=3561777 post#7.

Gutsy Gibbon final:) is very unstable I'v got lot of problems (xorg) therefore deleted it from my notebook. I have bluetooth headset (Motorola HS 805) and bluetooth mouse no one works under ubuntu 7.10. Both works fine under Ultimate Edition 1.4 or 1.5. In the last weeks I'v tried opensuse 10.3, fedora 8 beta 3, mandriva 2008.0, pclinuxos 2007 09, ubuntu/kubuntu/xubuntu 7.10 but no one works so smoothly like Ultimate Edition. I am using windows only for syncing between my linux-smartphone and notebook (Motorola Phone Tools).
