I have probably 300 or so books based on linux (never have had the time to read them), 2 of the most informative that I have read ...

As E-books go:
1. OReilly.Ubuntu.Hacks.Tips.and.Tools.for.Exploring.Using.and.Tuning.Linux
2. Apress.Beginning.Ubuntu.Linux.From.Novice.to.Professional

Hard copys:
I have 2 currently don't remember the names of them. One is intermediate and one advanced on network security, the advanced one was pretty hard to stomach even for me; advanced tcp/ip programing of stacks in C. For the most part it did educate me on how information flows over the net, a lot more complex then one would like to think.

The O'reilly book is good and if you want to learn bash the one at tldp.org is very good. The NAG and SAG at tldp isn't or haven't been maintained very well imho...
