help! just installed ultimate 3.01 all running well but i cannot access this 2TB WD external hdd (this drive works perfectly in windows7).
i also have a 120GB hdd and can access the files on that device without any problems whilst in linux.
when i try to access the 2TB hdd from linux i get this error message:

Unable to mount location

Error mounting: mount exited with exit code 12: Failed to read last sector (3907027119): Invalid argument
HINTS: Either the volume is a RAID/LDM but it wasn't setup yet,
or it was not setup correctly (e.g. by not using mdadm --build ...),
or a wrong device is tried to be mounted,
or the partition table is corrupt (partition is smaller than NTFS),
or the NTFS boot sector is corrupt (NTFS size is not valid).
Failed to mount '/dev/sda1': Invalid argument
The device '/dev/sda1' doesn't seem to have a valid NTFS.
Maybe the wrong device is used? Or the whole disk instead of a
partition (e.g. /dev/sda, not /dev/sda1)? Or the other way around?

Read this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NTFS-3G
Either that or go to your Windows network and see if its there.
You may have to share the drive from your Windows partition.

I had the same problem. I have the same drive. I hate it. I will never buy one again.
