Is it possible to upgrade to 3.0 rather the re-install? It's been a while since I installed Ultimate Edition 2.8 on several dual boot machines and I have customized a lot of programs and settings and would hate to go thru that whole process again. I know the Ubuntu upgrade was warned against and I did not do that but upgrading from one version of Ultimate Edition to a new version without a complete re-install would be nice. TheeMann once told me it was possible in the IRC chat room.
I am running 2.8 on a custom machine and tried the 3.0 live CD and had many issues which I have already fixed in 2.8 don't want to spend the hour it took the first time to work these things out. Not complaining it's just a pain to do this and Linux will not be what it could be until this issue is "Not an issue"
Thanks,
Tom
