I then checked ~/.emerald/themes and there was all the directories of the many themes that normally come with a Ultimate Edition release, except they were all EMPTY DIRECTORIES.
This is strange, if you need help finishing a distro before you release it let me know, I can beta test and script themes and make sure directories have their appropriate theme files in them.
You guys have a great idea here (the fattest stinkin linux distro there is, most themes, most apps) but when you miss simple things like that it makes me think you need some help.
I appreciate your work but this distro is bug ridden and sloppy at best, if you need help to work through kinks and polish up some of your theme/interface/icon/art/basic scripting/beta testing/etc issues let me know.
-----------------------EDIT 'FIX''-----------------------------------------------------------------
This isnt an actual 'bug' its just a slight mishap in the creation of the distro, files not being where they should be.. ahem.
FIX;
- Code: Select all
sudo cp -rf /usr/share/emerald/themes/ ~/.emerald/
That should work or you could just do it in the file manager (nautilus) Just copy all the files in /usr/share/emerald/themes/ into your ~/.emerald/themes/ directory. This will fill all the empty theme directories and will make all the themes show up when you start emerald theme manager. If theres any issues with this let me know, Im doing this off the top of my head from a computer away from home (with my UE3.0 install).
