Hello eldonkr.

you have to automount the SD card.
you need to give your self permission for the user first, system=>Administration=>user and Groups,
add your self to all the Groups there so you will have no problems with permissions on the next process.

Just a quick question. Have you used this card on any previous version of Ultimate Edition/Ubuntu/Linux/Windows before? Just asking just to make sure it is actually "working"/"worked" before as well as it could be problem with the card slot!!

Yes. I've used the card before on my windows. I put it in the Linux laptop and it didn't show up.

I followed the instructions provided and attempted to add myself to the groups and got though half of them and the laptop started slowing down and came to a screeching halt. I got no response from any programs and when I did a hard reset it came back as a black screen, white text and error messages, so now I'm rolling back to 2.3. I'll let you know if the SD card works when the install finishes.

after redownloading 2.3 and paying attention to stuff I realized that I had 2.3 the whole time and was just thrown off by the background and the load screen saying 2.4.

adding myself to the groups threw something off either way
