fotioskats.

The way I see it you have install packages with extra plug ins.
for allot of boards this will not work good.
DeVeDe is not install with all the packages because there is conflict with some software.
you can use avidemux to do the work for you.
I just want to understand what you mean by nothing?
No Audio? No Video?
did you have configure your Mixer?2 of them? Alsa And Pulse?
Did you have give yourself permission to your user under System=>Administration=> user and Groups?

Theres a few wma files posted on this forum that haven't been resolved...I personally been able to play everything I have in my collection. If I remember right wma's made with windows movie maker, and some other window apps are encrypted, and can only play in windows(DRM).A lot has to do with 64 bit codecs too...tho they work they always seem to be behind the 32 bit codecs in playing a lot of files....and there thousands of posts on the net to back this up.

I'm not saying this is the case here...like I said I'm just throwing the fact in.It could be that you don't have the right codec.Installing the codecs from Ultimatix,or synaptics should bring in everything you need...including the dependencies.

like I asked...if one knows the file played in a linux environment before then it makes it a lot easier to trouble shoot.Perhaps post the vid,and then others can try it.
