Hello yogesh,
If this is a NEW install of Ultimate Edition, you should make sure that all Updates are installed by going to
System>Administration>Synaptic Package Manager and install all updates, check again till there are no more Updates, then boot once more. At this point go to
System>Administration>Hardware Drivers and select the correct or "Recommended" Video Driver for your card, and install it.
This driver is necessary to allow Ultimate Edition to take full advantage of your Video Card's capabilities, and will allow you to enable all the Desktop Effects you are looking for.
FYI: If you have a video card that is NOT an nVidia or ATI, or if there is no "Recommended" driver in "Hardware Drivers", you will need further and more detailed instructions. If this is the case, please post back you system specifications, including Brand names and Models so someone can assist you further...

Good Luck!
