I cannot get the desktop effect activated

hello!
so friend, i think the code doesn't want to express its beauty on my pc!
no effect is actived!noy even the compiz....when i try to switch the effects from Appearance Preference - visual effects, it searches for drivers, and a message appears(desktop effect couldn't be enabled) its the same with both the "normal" and the "extra"


please help me to get the astonishing effects!

Hi yogesh,
We need to know what type of video you are running - It would help us and others better if you could try to edit your signature with your system specifications (we are having some issues with this on the forum but give it a try anyway). You can find this feature by clicking on the 'User Control Panel' at the top of the page. :)

Hello yogesh,
If this is a NEW install of Ultimate Edition, you should make sure that all Updates are installed by going to System>Administration>Synaptic Package Manager and install all updates, check again till there are no more Updates, then boot once more. At this point go to System>Administration>Hardware Drivers and select the correct or "Recommended" Video Driver for your card, and install it.
This driver is necessary to allow Ultimate Edition to take full advantage of your Video Card's capabilities, and will allow you to enable all the Desktop Effects you are looking for.
FYI: If you have a video card that is NOT an nVidia or ATI, or if there is no "Recommended" driver in "Hardware Drivers", you will need further and more detailed instructions. If this is the case, please post back you system specifications, including Brand names and Models so someone can assist you further...
