Webcam Genius - Ultimate Edition 2.2

Hello:

First of all, i left linux long time ago, too much incompatibility problems with hardware and software that i need, but, for this time and for a family needs i installed Ultimate Edition 2.2, (always remembering this distro) but, the only thing that i need to make it fully functional is my webcam, a Genius Eye 312 [ Link ] that doesn't work at all. I read all sites with webcam information and nothing is the solution, i installed a "software" easycam or something like that that make me a headache. Like I said, it's a "family needs" to be in touch with family in europe and a webcam and a Mic is plenty good for this. If someone has a solution please, let me know how to make the webcam work.

I think the chip is a Pixart.

PS.: I don't let my parents use Windows, i prefer Linux for them, is less probably that they mess up the system

Might be an idea to check to see if its even compatible.......first.Search on Google theres bound to be a list of web cams that are compatible today with linux.

That's why I posted that link in my post. As far as I can see there is only support for single pictures with that cam, but I was in a hurry, so I thought I just place the link at let carlosalberto look for him self
