what is your burn rate? I have always had good luck when i burn at the slowest rate possible. 2 - 4x
especially with data, the slowest rate is the best. ;)

Hello DiiPhantom.

If you have a windows system, just transfer the iso on a flash drive and use a program like nero to burn your iso at really low speed, like 4X. You can also get nero for linux on there home page. Please let us know the out come!!

I had a similar problem too with burning a dvd iso with brasero once, and after I tried all my cd/dvd burning apps in all my OS 's I found that I have an old damaged/corrupted dvd disk. All I had to do was just to use another dvd disk,a new and empty one of course. <BREW>

If you're desperate and want to burn in windows try imgburn available from imgburn.com. It's actually what I used to burn Ultimate Edition 2.2. It's free and allows you to burn DVD's, CD's, and even Blu-Ray. Personally I've never had trouble with anything other than movies when burned at my max burn rate. But trust these guys they won't steer you wrong.
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

I've also had problems when burning ISO's. I have admitted defeat (got fed up with making coasters!) and always burn them with Imgburn through Windows.
Imgburn (in my opinion) IS THE BEST windows burner. It's free, open source, and has a sense of humour
I wish someone cleverer than me would make a Linux version, and do foobar2000 while they're at it!!

I am going to let you on to a little secret of mine that i use to get ImgBurn to work in Linux/ubuntu/Ultimate Edition.

Step 1. Download a copy of ImgBurn & install it using Wine.

Step 2. Go to Applications > Wine > Configure Wine. Then select the "Drives" tab, then select "Autodetect" then apply, ok.

Step 3. Open ImgBurn & enjoy ;)

Works perfectly, i use it every time.

I think i am going to make a how to in the how section now ;)

If you install ImgBurn in wine without my configurations, you will get this error with your device, as shown in the image.

Here is the fix to your device/burner detection problem!! Please look at where my mouse pointer is pointing.

End results? Perfectly working ImgBurn. Enjoy!!
