please can any one tell me the system requirements of Ultimate 1.4 and Ultimate 2.2

Hello, U E 2.2 is based on Jaunty, so I copied this info from the UBUNTU web site;
System requirements
Ubuntu is available for PC, 64-Bit PC and Intel-based Mac architectures. At least 256 MB of RAM is required to run the alternate install CD (384MB of RAM is required to use the live CD based installer). Install requires at least 4 GB of disk space.
That would be the min. requirements; If you look at my sig below I have several older computers that run Ultimate Edition 2.2 very well indeed. If you want to be able to use most of the 3D effects from Compiz, then I would recommend at least 512 meg video card, I have had better luck with the Nvidia cards. A gig of ram is good, I just recently added .5 gig more. I am using Pent 4 processor running @ 3ghz, and I am not limited, I was using 2.8's but find the 3"s do make a difference.
If this info is not what you wanted, please say so.

Thanx alot friend please i want one more favour from you i have Dell GX270 pentium IV with 3.0 Ghz with 1 GB of ram and 80 GB hardisk is this system is best for Ultimate 2.2 and ubuntu ulitimate 1.4 & one more thing i dont want to use Compiz.

Hello adeel. Welcome to Ultimate Edition Board.
adeel if your asking if your system is in good shape for both Ultimate Edition 1.4 & 2.2, the answer is yes. As for Compiz, it is just a installed application like every other program that is bundled with Ultimate Edition or Ubuntu. Compiz is not enable out of the box, so you won't have a problem there. You can also remove Compiz if you want.
