Wireless Down....Again...

Help & support for Ultimate Edition 2.2

Re: Wireless Down....Again...

No errors, I have Jaunty installed on one partition, and 2.2 installed on another, it works on Jaunty, and doesn't work on 2.2......Ubuntu has always recognized my wireless card, but it never worked until I pieced together that x64 How-To for the Atheros driver a while back....then with Jaunty being released, it worked right from the LiveCD even, no driver installations required or anything, it just worked.....so either something has changed with Jaunty (my install is right from the day it was released), or TheeMahn did something which killed the driver  .

Woohooooooo, you are my Savior Chuck :P, it worked, although the second command said permission denied, so I used an altered command from the old How-To I pieced together:

Code: Select all
echo ath5k | sudo tee -a /etc/modules

This one took, so now it turns on when 2.2 boots up.
Thank you very much for the help!

I had the same problem with mine. However, I went to System->Administration->Hardware Drivers. I enabled the Atheros driver and rebooted and it said it detected a wireless network. Once again awesome work TheeMan.
