In my case always Ultimate Edition recognized the wired cable internet,maybe it's something with your router.Try restart your internet signal by unplugging for 30 seconds your cable and after plugging back wait for 2-3 minutes and see what's hapening then,maybe you're lucky. <BREW>

well im gonna hold off on installing ubuntu till summer, i needa focus on my studies haha, but thanks.
