http://packages.debian.org/stable/
Most of the Debian packages will work, just be careful what you are removing.

try using synaptic to force this version

libgtk2.0-0 (=2.14.4-0ubuntu1)


then lock version if needed to make sure it dont try to update it.

also im not sure why it is wanting to use 2.14.4-0ubuntu2. unless you either have proposed enable or its trying to pull it from our repo maybe. a quick search on the ubuntu packages site only shows

# intrepid (libs): The GTK+ graphical user interface library
2.14.4-0ubuntu1: amd64 i386
# jaunty (libs): The GTK+ graphical user interface library
2.15.5-0ubuntu1: amd64 i386


i cant try it myself as im stuck on windows. both *nix boxes are broken...AGAIN. but im almost certain its either pulling it from proposed or the Ultimate Edition repo.
