End Of Life Ubuntu 13.04!

Postby BBOSAK2143 » Sun Feb 02, 2014 10:45 am

I knew it was coming, but today got that little message pop up for updates! It figures after getting this OS of mine to run really smooth and accurate, updates and support die off! I am still going to complain about the mini's with Ubuntu! Am really upset at the fact, the full blow version of Ubuntu will come out, but is quite a bit of time before the mini is available. Do you think I would have built a second 13.04 if I had been able to get a 13.10 mini???? Anyone that knows me would say "No Way!" I love being up to date with all and everyone knows I do not shun change, I embrace and relish in it!

Why do I not want the full blow Ubuntu??? Sorry in my thoughts is just bulked out and useless in that state! Sure my OS is bulky, but those are all programs I use! If I get the regular full blown, I get sunk with problems between desktops! Also I absolutely hate the ubuntu desktop as is also ugly and completely useless!Goes beyond me what anyone sees in that desktop, but of course to each their own! I just know personally when it comes to doing any kind of work, I prefer Gnome! So, when I built this 2nd 13.04 of mine was out of a mini. Things went together very well with only minimal problems. When I did it out of a full blown, was nothing but trouble with a capital T!

Many on here will remember how I spent weeks typing in "apt-get build-dep....." When I put this current one together and let it loose just did its job! I was only short one piece for the program "iriverter" which had found out was not anything that would have ever been helped as is a small flaw when one goes to install! Now I am curious as wondering if it is my imagination or was there a massive delay on the release of a mini for 13.10????

I could swear last year or should say in December of 2012, I downloaded 12.10 mini. Now 13.10 has just become available as of Feb 1st???? Seems to me someone is falling asleep at the switch! Of course since I have just found out is available, yes I am downloading it! I am going to keep going with building as to improve! It takes years to get things as great as TheeMahn can, so I have loads to do to catch up! I know will never be as great, but I am just going to keep reaching for that! Is awesome to have such a great legacy and person to follow!

This time am going to do even more research than in the past! We are approaching 14.04 in a few months! Have heard at that point Gnome will reach its 4th version of its amazing desktop! Am so looking forward to it! Is no doubt KDE will be following with its 5th version also, which is very exciting in the Linux world of computing! Still the topper is TheeMahn! He took a concept and made it reality!!!! Automating the construction of an OS! No one has ever thought this possible! Is just utterly amazing and just proves what a great developer he is and always best wishes goes to him! Once again have to thank you TheeMahn for being who you are as is just great to have someone we can all be proud of and look up to!!!!
