Problems with Linux

Postby Xanayoshi » Thu Jan 30, 2014 2:49 am

I don't really have any. I complain for absolutely no reason. I am anti-ubuntu and I pretty much exclusively run Ubuntu based systems at all times.(Security Amazon thing really) Despite the x/mir/wayland controversies, all my environments have been running perfectly, better than they ever have actually. Even when on other systems it doesn't matter. I feel guilty because I haven't installed a new version of Ultimate Edition in forever but I got sidetracked and don't really need to. If I hadn't used Ultimate Edition however, I wouldn't be in that position. Sure I crashed a couple systems recently but it was completely my fault by not paying attention and overfilling my drive. Aaand even then..even then, it was just the KDE plasma and I just switched environments, transferred some files and moved on. Sigh. Life is hard.

And now, the completely true facts, as told by an anonymous man hiding behind a screen name:

Xan, your just movin on sort of on the order like I did. You have learned what you like and need and have moved to it! Never kick yourself for mistakes, this is what learning is all about! Personally, I enjoy many mistakes as have learned quite a bit from them! Ubuntu, Linux, Windows, Mac nothing is perfect! Since man is not perfect, how could his machines or Operating systems be pefect, right???

Best thing any of us could do is make suggestions and look for ways to improve what we feel does not work right! You with the vast knowledge you have are in a great position to do that! I faced it long ago that you have probably got a good 5+ years with Linux and are at least 10x more proficient than I am! You also have age going for you! Your mind is great and strong, so you keep pushing hard as I know you are going to make a difference. I feel you have made a real great addition to the Ultimate team!

You are always there for everyone and have helped all of us to great lengths! It is a total honor to be a part of a forum with people of your calibre! So, do not ever loose your opinions because they belong to you! You build on those opinions and make things better for everyone, Okay!!! Always best wishes to you as you are a great friend to all of us!
