Number 3 OS working and running on Laptop, all seems well then I find out dconf-editor is missing???? Amazing! I went to ubuntu main rep and found 0.16.1 deb for this missing piece but of course wouldn't you know it does not match up to the rest of dconf-tools! So installation would remove dconf-tools, gnome and of course gnome core! I need 0.16.0 to match up, I believe so I could then have the luxury of making important adjustments to the desktop! This kind of goes with my last rant about getting junk vs important files! Anyway am no genius on this, so could use a little ingenuity as the rest of the OS seems to be pretty nice and quite usable, just that glitch there! Guess it comes from being such an amateur at all this!

Thanks, will do that! Get so many searches that just fizzle and get me to 2010 which does not apply to these newer ones!!!! Just no expert especially when it comes to knowing 5000 files! Really appreciate that and eventually am sure will cure the gui part of it! Just takes time and that I seem to have plenty of these days!!!!

Sounded great! I mean, if you do it and you have those files am sure you can change them. Of course looks like another missing part! Either that or am suffering from the pangs of system log not forgetting the mistakes I made! Going to post about it and hope someone know about this!
