Let's get the gripes out so 13.10 gets better!!! Will start with a new gripe! How do you successfully transfer a 4.3gb image to flashdrive on 13.04???? MMM let's see now 12.10 worked so sweet just get into gnome disks and switch your flashdrive file system to encrypted luks and ext4 and no hassle whatsoever! Now on 13.04 watch out! Says it transferred 4.3, slip into another system and oops is only 3.5????? Very upsetting! How could it go from working like a gem to trashed???? Miss 12.10 on that one! Have been trying to copy an image for 2 hours now and have used close to everything under the sun on linux to copy to flash on this 13.04 and thus far zippidy! One last shot doing tar.bz2 have all the dependencies gcc-mutlilb all the required files! Will it make a difference???? What is bizarre about 13.04 is the multitude of results am seeing. Am thinking a better name for this Ubuntu is "Heinz 57"!!! What is really weird in this day of file sizes becoming quite large is now there are more hangups on files larger than 4 gigs???? So last shot and here is the result, the bzip2 file was 4.3gb and the size on the flash when transferred to another computer 3.9, well getting closer anyway but still no cigar!!!! Am in total shock on this as this is the first time I have ever seen such terrible discrepancies with transferring images!!!! Would hate to count on 13.04 to save important files!!!! Will say the other day, got tired of messing with it and just burned the image, but to me that is going backwards!!!! Should be using less disks these days with the zillions of flashdrives out there!!!! Am totally lost how a disk can turn out properly, but the same image can not be transferred flashdrive to another computer, is absolutely beyond me!
