Power goes out which recovers faster Ultimate or Windows?

Postby BBOSAK2143 » Wed May 01, 2013 3:17 pm

Here we go, this just happened a few minutes ago. I was on Windows on the computer, typing on my laptop on myOS. Now I remember about 6 months ago when I was on Ultimate 3.5 and the power went out. What was the result???? When the power came back on, I simply turned the computer on. It then booted through the awesome Ultimate screen right to the desktop. I had been working on a test for school at the time through Google. I simply hit Chromium browser and resumed the test within about 3 minutes. Now not quite the same situation, since I was burning a disk on Windows, but close enough. Power went out. Number one disk is shot!!!! Oh well can not win them all!!!! Next boot up, here we go, 5 minutes of Windows trying to configure and restarting, then finally back to the desktop!!!! Now from the other account you can see in the same time frame, I had already resumed my test!!!!! So now which OS is more primitive and not so user-friendly???? Leave that to all of you to decide!!!!!

It's a trick question. Neither. The power is out.

And now, the completely true facts, as told by an anonymous man hiding behind a screen name:

You know I mean after the power comes back on! Is like this first the power goes out and you are running that beloved WIN7 OS. Then power comes back on and you have to turn that lovely system back on! Next you get to watch it shut down a few times before it gets back into gear!!!! Ultimate, power goes out off it goes like you shut it down yourself. Next power comes on you turn it on and is just like a normal boot!!!!!! Now if that is not sweet, what is????? I mean this was some months ago and to top it off, power did not come on until the next day. I was right in the middle of a test!!!! When the power came back on, I booted up, clicked on Chromium, thee ole "Want to restore pages" came up and within 3 minutes of boot I resumed my test!!!! Dare someone to say the same with Windows, since I know would be an absolute lie!!!!!!!
